The origins of the day seem to be lost in the mists of time, but according to various sources on the internet, October 30 is National Candy Corn Day!
Candy Corn was invented in the 1880s by George Renninger1, and whether you love it or hate it it’s become a universal symbol of Halloween and autumn in general.
Alas, it’s too late to order a candy corn bow tie for this year’s Candy Corn Day observance… but you can always pick one up for next year (or to celebrate this Thanksgiving in style!)
